Melanie Pullen recounts a harrowing experience in Mexico City. While working with a gallery owner who had connections to the federal police in Mexico, she was offered their protection to explore dangerous areas for a photography project. Intrigued by a story about a church where a priest forgives the sins of criminals, she ventured into Tepito, the city's black market, with a federal police escort. Despite the danger, she captured incredible photos, including one of a notorious drug dealer. However, this led to a hotel worker warning her to leave Mexico City immediately, as her life was in danger.
