"I have been a Magnum photographer since 1983. Before that, I had worked for three newspapers (Middletown Times Herald Record 1977-78, Detroit News 1978 -80, and San Francisco Examiner 1980 -1983). Life was not boring before those times and it certainly was even less boring afterwards. I am a Olympus Visionary and have enjoyed using Olympus cameras since 1982. I am also a member of the photography collective, Kamoinge. I am currently a clinical professor of photojournalism at the University of Texas at Austin while continuously working on various projects."
